The Chicago Women in Tech Conference (“ChiWitCon”) is dedicated to providing a safe and harassment-free conference experience for all Conference Participants, regardless of gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or national origin. “Conference Participants” include attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and staff. We expect all Conference Participants to adhere to this Code of Conduct and respect all laws applicable to our event.
We do not tolerate harassment of Conference Participants in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and/or unwelcome sexual attention. Sexual language or imagery is not appropriate for any conference activity, including sessions, talks, parties, or online media.
This Code of Conduct is without limitation of our other rights under applicable law in maintaining our conference, website, and social media platforms. Conference Participants are deemed to agree to this Code of Conduct in participating in our conference and activities.
Any Conference Participant who engages in any harassing, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior violating these rules may be sanctioned and expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
